fish are cool

suspicious

From a recent trip to Monterey. I could watch the fish for hours. It's a wonder I've never owned a fish tank. Click the image for more -- we got to see the first white shark to last more than a couple days in captivity. She was as menacing as you might imagine (not that you can tell from the pictures), except for the fact that half the tuna in the talk outweighed her (one recently took a nibble out of her)

Ummmm, no. They're not.

You forget Deep's Law of Pets:
Any animal that would leave you if it had the chance is not a pet. It is a captive.

this is why fish are not cool.

Please return to toeing the line.

That is all.

:-)

a riposte:
1) first i was referring to the fact that fish as beasties -- regardless of their state of captivity -- are cool and amazing creatures.
2) it is not entirely clear that a fish would run away. maybe drift away because the current took them away, but fish can clearly become tame:

not to mention

3) I would further argue that their unpet like nature is more a function of them breathing through water, and us breathing through air.
