Biggest earthquake I've ever felt just rolled through. rocked our building for what seemed like a good 30-40 seconds. Closest I've ever come to being scared.

I heard a noise first then had a feeling and began looking for shaking things... The shutters were gently swinging and then we were. Still feel a bit of vertigo from it, as if I'd just stepped off a ship after many hours at sea.

The USGS has a 6.4 magnitude quake epicenter in San Simeon http://quake.wr.usgs.gov/recenteqs/latest.htm which is pretty damn far away. Hard to believe it would have rolled that far.
