Forgive Last Man
Caution, this is absurd: I rush over to a spot by the smoothie machines where there's big juice. Bigness, its a different fruit each time and most of the time it is a marraige of two fruits. Not many seem to know about this jar, yet its always empty at the end of the day (but not for me). Its the best deal. A tall glass of pure nectar for a subsidized $.75 cents, something I would have gladly paid five times more for. Greg had a word for this gap between cost and what more a consumer would have actually paid. I forget what it was. Noting the experience here... The design of the jar forgives its last customer. It succeeds in never leaving Last Man (myself) with just a partial cup of agua fresca. It would be terrible if they were to. The cashiers would not know how to calculate the right price for my partial cup. I refer to it as forgiving in that by its (perhaps unintended) design, it doesn not leave Last Man disappointed. The diagram below explains how.

As you can see at level 1, there is plenty of big juice for Early Man. As the juice is emptied out through the spout, it appears empty at that point where it reaches the base of the spout opening. At this level, juice level 2, it has just enough big juice to fill one tall cup to the person who knows to lift the back of the jar slightly and tilt it. There you go. However great this is, I can't gurantee that Second-to-last Man isn't ever screwed. But then again, if they aren't clever enough to tilt the jar, they deserve to be screwed out of big juice. Ha! Not just forgiving, but deserving.
